Using Dial4.food alongside Just Eat

Keep your Just Eat listing as it is. This page covers the two delivery options Just Eat publishes, what it charges for each, and how a phone channel of your own sits next to them.

What Just Eat provides

A listing, and a choice about who drives.

Summarised from Just Eat's own UK partner pages, checked 27 September 2026.

  • You deliver

Just Eat describes this as customers ordering from you on Just Eat while you deliver with your own couriers, at a reduced commission. Its sign-up page badges this as the popular choice.

  • Just Eat delivers

Just Eat handles delivery with its courier network and you prepare the order, at the higher of the two published rates.

Just Eat is unusually direct about its rates: its sign-up page states 14% commission where you deliver and 30% where it delivers, with a worked example including VAT. That makes it straightforward to compare what each channel costs you, which is worth doing before adding another one.

What a phone channel adds

Your own number, answered every time.

Your Just Eat listing puts you in front of people already browsing for dinner. It has nothing to say to the regular who rings your shop, or the customer standing outside who wants to order for collection.

Dial4.food gives those customers a number that gets answered during service. The assistant takes the order from your menu, reads it back with the total and sends a clear ticket to the kitchen. What it earns depends on your demand and your promotion, so measure it rather than assume it.

Boundaries

What belongs to which channel.

  • Orders

Just Eat says orders arrive on its Orderpad, a countertop device with a built-in printer, or a handheld version. Dial4.food orders arrive on your Posso POS, order terminal or kitchen printer instead.

  • Delivery

On Just Eat you either deliver yourself or their couriers do, depending on the option you chose with them. A Dial4.food order is delivered by you where you offer delivery, and Just Eat couriers cannot be booked through it.

  • Payment

Just Eat says commission is deducted from weekly order revenue under your agreement with them. A Dial4.food order is paid however your own setup works.

Just Eat is an independent business with no involvement in Dial4.food and no endorsement of it. Nothing here is an integration or a partnership.

A hypothetical week

Same kitchen, two sets of tickets.

You deliver your own Just Eat orders, so their tickets print on the Orderpad and your driver runs them. Collection customers, though, still ring the shop, and on a Friday nobody gets to the phone.

With a Dial4.food number on your window and your packaging, those callers get through, hear the order read back and collect twenty minutes later. Your Just Eat agreement, rates and listing are untouched.

An illustration of how a week might run, not a case study or a promise of extra orders.

Just Eat questions

I already deliver my own Just Eat orders at the lower rate. Why add this?

Because it answers a different customer. Delivering your own Just Eat orders changes who drives; it does not help the person who rings the shop for collection and gets a busy tone. Dial4.food is a channel for those callers, on a number you promote.

What does Just Eat charge?

Just Eat publishes its UK rates on its own partner sign-up page: 14% commission on orders you deliver yourself and 30% where Just Eat delivers, with a worked example of £3.36 and £7.20 including VAT on a £20 order, deducted from weekly revenue. Those are Just Eat's figures under your agreement with them, and Dial4.food does not change them. Checked 27 September 2026; confirm current terms with Just Eat.

Do Dial4.food orders print on my Orderpad?

No. The Orderpad is Just Eat's device for Just Eat orders. Dial4.food tickets reach you through your own Posso POS, order terminal or supported kitchen printer, so the two queues stay separate.

Can Just Eat couriers deliver an order taken by Dial4.food?

No. There is no connection between the two services, and Dial4.food does not book couriers from any marketplace. Delivery on a Dial4.food order is yours.

Does Just Eat offer ordering on my own website?

We did not find an own-website ordering product on the Just Eat partner pages we were able to read, and some of their marketing pages block automated checks. Treat that as not found rather than not offered, and ask Just Eat directly.

Also worth reading: the channel comparison across all three apps and how the ordering call works.

Keep Just Eat. Pick up every call.

Book a demo and hear how the assistant handles a collection order on your kind of menu.
