What is Dial4.food?

Dial4.food is a new way to order takeaway by phone. You browse a local restaurant's menu on Dial4.food, tap its dedicated number and tell an AI ordering assistant what you'd like. Once you confirm, the order goes straight to the restaurant. It is powered by Posso AI.

Do customers need to download an app?

No. There is nothing to install and no account or password to create. If your phone can make a call, you can order.

Can customers order by speaking naturally?

Yes. You can talk the way you would to someone behind the counter, for example “two cod and chips, make one large, no salt on the other”. The assistant asks follow-up questions when it needs to, and you can change your mind before confirming.

How does the restaurant receive the order?

When the caller confirms, the order is sent to the restaurant as a structured digital ticket. Depending on the restaurant's setup it prints on a kitchen printer, appears on a kitchen display or order terminal, or lands in their Posso POS.

Can it work with my existing POS system?

Dial4.food connects directly with Posso POS, Posso order terminals and supported kitchen printers. If you use a different POS, we can still send orders to a dedicated printer or tablet. Book a demo and we will check what works best for your setup.

Can customers pay during the call?

Payment options depend on the restaurant. Many restaurants take payment on collection or delivery. Secure online payment through Posso Pay is available through supported restaurant setups.

Does it support collection and delivery?

Yes. Every restaurant can offer collection. Restaurants that run their own delivery can also take delivery orders, with the assistant checking the address and any minimum order before confirming.

What happens if an item is unavailable?

The assistant works from the restaurant's live menu, so items marked unavailable are not offered. If a caller asks for something that is off today, the assistant says so and can suggest an alternative from the menu.

Can the AI understand menu options and sizes?

Yes. It uses the restaurant's actual menu, including sizes, portions, toppings, extras and the rules between them, so it asks the right questions and quotes the correct price.
