Using Dial4.food alongside Deliveroo

Keep your Deliveroo listing as it is. This page sets out what Deliveroo publishes about its own products, the one thing it does not publish, and how a phone channel of your own fits next to it.

What Deliveroo provides

Three offers, in Deliveroo's own words.

Summarised from Deliveroo's own UK merchant pages, checked 27 September 2026.

  • Delivery

The core marketplace listing, with Deliveroo's rider network delivering the orders customers place in its app or on its website.

  • Marketplace+

Deliveroo describes this as reaching its customers while you deliver with your own riders, setting your own delivery fee and minimum spend. The order still comes from Deliveroo.

  • Deliveroo Express

Deliveroo's white-label service, previously called Signature, which connects to your own website or app by API so Deliveroo riders fulfil orders you take yourself.

One thing Deliveroo does not publish

Unlike Uber Eats and Just Eat, Deliveroo does not put its commission on its UK merchant site. We checked the merchant homepage, the Delivery, Marketplace+ and Express pages, the operations page, the FAQ hub and the sign-up form. No percentage and no joining fee appear on any of them, so we will not repeat a figure from elsewhere. Ask Deliveroo directly and get it in writing before you compare channels on cost.

What a phone channel adds

The order that starts with a phone call.

Deliveroo brings you customers browsing its app, and takes care of riders if you want that. What it does not do is answer the phone when a regular rings for collection during the rush.

Dial4.food takes that call, works from your menu, reads the order and total back, and prints a ticket in your kitchen. It runs on your own number and page, so it is yours to promote. Whether it grows sales depends on demand and on how visible you make the number.

Boundaries

What belongs to which channel.

  • Orders

Deliveroo says its orders arrive as a notification on a Deliveroo tablet, with a ticket printed once accepted. Dial4.food orders arrive separately on your Posso POS, order terminal or kitchen printer.

  • Delivery

Deliveroo's riders deliver marketplace orders unless you use Marketplace+ with your own riders. A Dial4.food order is delivered by you, where you offer delivery. Deliveroo riders cannot be booked through Dial4.food.

  • Payment

Deliveroo handles payment for orders placed on its platform under your agreement with them. Payment for a Dial4.food order depends on your own setup.

Deliveroo is an independent business with no involvement in Dial4.food and no endorsement of it. Nothing here is an integration or a partnership.

A hypothetical Saturday

Two queues, one kitchen.

You run Marketplace+ with your own moped, so Deliveroo orders arrive on their tablet and your driver takes them out. The landline, meanwhile, is ringing with people who want to collect in twenty minutes.

Those callers use your Dial4.food number. Their orders print in the kitchen with the collection time, your driver keeps to the Deliveroo run, and the two never cross. If a dish sells out you mark it unavailable in both places, because neither system can see the other.

An illustration of how a shift might run, not a case study or a promise of extra orders.

Deliveroo questions

Is Dial4.food the same idea as Marketplace+?

No. With Marketplace+ the customer still orders through Deliveroo and you provide the delivery. With Dial4.food the customer orders through your own number and page, and the order never touches Deliveroo.

Is it the same as Deliveroo Express?

No. Deliveroo describes Express as a white-label way for Deliveroo riders to deliver orders you have already taken. Dial4.food is about taking the order in the first place, and it supplies no couriers at all.

What commission does Deliveroo charge, and how does that compare?

Deliveroo does not publish its commission or joining fees on its UK merchant site, so we will not put a number on it. Its FAQ refers to a single percentage commission for Editions without stating the figure. Ask Deliveroo for your rate in writing and compare it with a Dial4.food quote. Checked 27 September 2026.

Will Dial4.food orders show on my Deliveroo tablet?

No. The two are unconnected. Your Deliveroo tablet keeps doing Deliveroo orders and Dial4.food tickets arrive through your own kitchen setup.

Does Deliveroo integrate with my POS?

Deliveroo's merchant pages we checked describe a tablet and a printed ticket, and do not describe POS integration, so we cannot claim it does. Dial4.food sends orders to Posso POS, Posso order terminals or supported kitchen printers.
